Stephanie's love of health and wellness began early in life with a drive for both competitive gymnastics and competitive swimming. This love was easily translated into yoga in her early twenties where she developed an extensive Vinyasa practice. She completed her yoga teacher training at Yogaspace in 2010 and has been teaching therapeutic yoga to all levels ever since.
The ability of yoga and therapeutic touch to transform the body, mind and spirit inspired Stephanie to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She completed her massage therapy training at the acclaimed Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2014 where she has been offered a position as a Teacher's Assistant commencing in the fall of 2015.
Stephanie has treated a broad range of clientele including, but not limited to, seniors post-surgery patients at the Toronto General Hospital and adults recovering from stroke. She has extensive prenatal massage training; she completed a rotation in high-risk pregnancy at Sunnybrook Hospital. Stephanie believes prenatal massage to be of incredible benefit: women develop a strong connection with their babies and their bodies while decreasing stress, and promoting a healthy fetal environment. Stephanie believes in a holistic wellness-focused, client-centered approach that facilitates the client's inward journey towards a deeper understanding of self.
Massage can help provide some much needed relaxation from our busy lives and
help you get rid of aches and pains. Lynn believes that massage is an integral
part of a wellness lifestyle – a life of balance where the central goal is to be
healthy and take the time to look after your mind, body and spirit.
Lynn is a graduate from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic and is a
registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
She practices therapeutic Swedish massage and within that context has
discovered there is a lot of room for flexibility. Her treatments vary in style from
deep tissue to a lighter lymphatic drainage approach. She is experienced in Hot
Stone massage and incorporates a variety of techniques into each treatment
including trigger point therapy, passive stretch and myofascial release. She
has also been trained to treat women in all stages of pregnancy, as well as
neurological and pathological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis
and Cerebral Palsy.
When Lynn is not treating her clients, she finds balance in her own life with yoga,
gardening, photography and baking for family and friends.
